Dr. Kenneth A. Young
Dr. Young is a graduate of Southern College of Optometry, where he was awarded the J.B. Lippincott Award for excellence in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular pathology. He joined Primary Eyecare in July of 1993 after completing an internship at the United States Army Hospital at Fort Lee. Virgina..
Dr. Young has also served as a clinical investigator for several contact lens and pharmaceutical manufacturers evaluating new contact lens materials, designs and solutions..
Dr. Young is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Contact Lens Society, the Tennessee Optometric Association and the Middle Tennessee Optometric Association. He is a past president of the Middle Tennessee Optometric Association and has also served as a Trustee of the Tennessee Optometric Association. Dr. Young serves as a adjunct faculty member of the Southern College of Optometry
When not spending time with his wife Dr. Victoria Young and his two children, he enjoys hunting, fishing and competition BBQs.

Dr. Peter T. Van Hoven
Dr. Van Hoven is a native of Nashville, TN. He graduated from Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN in 1995 and Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN in 1999. While at Southern College of Optometry, Dr. Van Hoven was the recipient of the Outstanding Clinician Award and the LS&S Group Low Vision Award. He joined Primary Eyecare Group in October of 2002.
Dr. Van Hoven has served as a clinical investigator for several contact lens manufacturers evaluating new contact lens materials and designs.
He is a member of the Tennessee Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf, and working with the Special Olympics.

Dr. Nicholas P. Engle
Dr. Engle is a recent graduate of Southern College of Optometry in Memphis. He is originally from Sioux City, Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. He has completed internships in primary optometric care and pediatric optometry at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City. He joined Primary Eyecare in 2007.
Dr. Engle is an active member of the Young Professionals Council of the Brentwood/Cool Springs Chamber of Commerce as well Middle Tennessee Optometric Society, the Tennessee Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. He also participates in the InfantSEE® program through the American Optometric Association. In his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as anything outdoors.
